FLIPPER ANTICHOC BLUE FUMÉ DIAL C.1970S: IDENTIFICATION

This time-only wristwatch features a sharp, angular tonneau-shaped case typical of 1970s industrial design. The dial is a standout blue fumé or gradient sunburst, fading from a vibrant teal center to a deep navy periphery. It utilizes applied baton hour markers and baton hands with white center fills. The sub-seconds register at 6 o'clock is minimalist, indicated by a simple crosshair and a small needle hand. The case construction is a chrome-plated base metal upper with a screw-down stainless steel back.

COLLECTOR NOTES

1

The Flipper brand gained significant horological fame for the 1967 'Flipper' model, which was one of the first watches to utilize a plastic case, predating the Swatch by over a decade.
