    How does authenticity detection work?

    WATCHMAKER'S ASSESSMENT

    Vintage Watchmaker & Horology Specialist

    Horologist

The specific 3-6-9 sub-dial layout with a 24-hour register at 3 o'clock is a definitive signature of cheap counterfeit quartz modules, making identification highly certain even without opening the case.

    CONDITION & GRADE

    Poor

    Grading breakdown

Crystal is heavily scratched, case shows wear, and the piece is an unauthenticated copy fitted with an incorrect aftermarket bracelet.

    Condition

The watch shows obvious signs of wear with multiple surface scratches visible on the crystal and the bezel. It is currently fitted with a non-original Spiedel-style expansion band.

    YOUR INPUT VS. SCAN

How your provided context compares with Curiosa.com scanner findings.

    What Aligned

    • User stated 'Condition: Minor wear', which aligns with the visible scratches on the crystal and case.

    What Conflicted

    • User stated 'Original/Authentic', which strongly conflicts with the horological evidence; the movement layout and lack of Swiss markings indicate a counterfeit.
